Addax is a free P2P sharing application for Windows systems. It claims faster speeds than its competitors and a spyware free environment, but unfortunately, it doesn't differ from Limewire for instance. The interface and options are similar to all P2P clients. It is very easy to use, pretty self explanatory.
The program was developed with Java.
It allows its users to search for audio, movie, image and application files. You can share and download mp3, ogg, wma, wav, mpeg, mov, avi, jpg, gif, exe, html, etc.
The search interface allows users to search by file type, title, artist, and other parameters. The integrated audio player lets users listen to audio files from within the application; video files are not played here.
Addax connects to the Gnutella network, which is very popular and has much content, but there are other programs that offer connection to multiple networks, so users who want more network options will have to find another application.
In this version you will find Windows 7 support and faster initial connection to the network. The problem that used to reset the options when closing the application has been solved and the options remain set as before.
